You can keep the practical comfortable clothing while keeping the silhouette interesting and keep the pants from being viewed as impractical.\nAs for the hat it can also be even more easy to remove than the jacket which can be helpful if the character chooses to remove it or it gets caught on something but if it falls off or gets in the way of her line of sight that could be a problem. If she tends to be out at night it may block her ability to see clearly in the dark (though it could help if she's in an area with heavy streetlights) but if she tends to be out in the day the hat actually could be beneficial. That also applies to the clothing colors, if out at night the clothes would draw attention but if out during the day they won't be a problem. So that one depends on your needs from a storytelling perspective. The hair can also be easily grabbed even in a ponytail (in a real world setting that is the first thing a brawler will go for) but I understand the need for it from a character design perspective to create dynamics.\nIt helps to understand the rules so you can break them more effectively, decide what is important and what isn't and work from there. There is no right or wrong way to design a character. You can keep the practical comfortable clothing while keeping the silhouette interesting and keep the pants from being viewed as impractical.\nAs for the hat it can also be even more easy to remove than the jacket which can be helpful if the character chooses to remove it or it gets caught on something but if it falls off or gets in the way of her line of sight that could be a problem. If she tends to be out at night it may block her ability to see clearly in the dark (though it could help if she's in an area with heavy streetlights) but if she tends to be out in the day the hat actually could be beneficial. That also applies to the clothing colors, if out at night the clothes would draw attention but if out during the day they won't be a problem. So that one depends on your needs from a storytelling perspective. The hair can also be easily grabbed even in a ponytail (in a real world setting that is the first thing a brawler will go for) but I understand the need for it from a character design perspective to create dynamics.\nIt helps to understand the rules so you can break them more effectively, decide what is important and what isn't and work from there. There is no right or wrong way to design a character. An important aspect of her character is her cocky/snarky attitude, which sort of explains why what she wears isn't entirely practical. Plus, her speed is faster than anyone she's met and most can't deal with that, so it's sort of another way to tease. But I will take all that into consideration, I especially like the idea of tighter pants instead, I never thought how it would improve the silhouette.\nHer design was also sort of inspired by Terry Bogard from Fatal Fury (Although, I didn't realize the similarities while designing her lmao, sorta subconsciously did it.) They both have a jacket and cap, and they are both made for a fighting game.
